Skoda has re-introduced the Octavia RS in the Indian market which has been launched at the ongoing Auto Expo 2020. The performance sedan is offered in 245 avatar, which is a more powerful international spec version priced at Rs. 35.99 lakhs (ex-showroom).
The Octavia RS 245 is a direct CBU import and Skoda has allotted only 200 units for the Indian market. There are new 18-inch alloys on offer and has a lower ground clearance than the previous model.
It is powered by a 2.0-litre TSI turbo petrol BS6 compliant engine producing 245 HP and 370 Nm of torque. The power output has gone up by 15 HP and 20 Nm than the previous version. This engine is mated to a 7-speed DSG automatic transmission.
The Skoda Octavia RS 245 comes with a claimed top speed of 250 km/hr. 0-100 km/hr acceleration time is 6.6 seconds, which has improved from the RS 230’s timing of 6.8 seconds. Deliveries of the car will commence soon.
