Skoda Kylaq scores 5 star safety rating for both Adult & Child Occupant Protection
The Skoda Kylaq has secured a prestigious 5-star safety rating in the Bharat NCAP crash tests, marking a significant milestone for the compact SUV. The tests were conducted on the Prestige MT variant and the ratings are also applicable to the Signature and Signature+ variants.
Outstanding Performance in Safety Tests
The Kylaq scored an impressive 30.88 out of 32 points for adult occupant protection and 45 out of 49 points for child occupant safety. These results place the Kylaq among the safest vehicles in its category, reflecting Skoda’s commitment to passenger safety.
In the frontal offset barrier test, the Kylaq demonstrated robust safety features, providing good protection for the head, neck, chest and lower body of the front occupants. While the driver’s chest and lower leg showed adequate protection, the overall performance in this test was commendable.

Dynamic tests for child occupant protection were conducted using child restraint systems (CRS). The Kylaq achieved a flawless dynamic score of 24/24 and a perfect CRS installation score of 12/12. The vehicle’s overall assessment score for child safety stood at 9 out of 13, further cementing its reputation as a family-friendly option.
