The recently spied Skoda Kushaq Monte Carlo had dual tone seats
Skoda Auto’s popular Kushaq will soon get a new Monte Carlo variant added to its line-up and the model, which is expected to be launched next month, has been spied undisguised already.
The new variant of the compact SUV comes with cosmetic differences as opposed to the top-spec Style variant. Externally, the Kushaq Monte Carlo gets blacked trim which replace the chrome parts that the Style variant features. There are model-specific badges on the front fenders too.
Skoda is likely to sell the Kushaq Monte Carlo variant in 2 colour options – Red and White – and the model will also come fitted with different 17-inch alloy wheels wrapped with 205/55-section rubber.
Stepping inside, one would see new – Black with Red – seat upholstery, red highlights on the dashboard, centre console and door cards, Monte Carlo badges, and, chiefly, a digital instrument cluster.
Apart from the new display for the driver, the Skoda Kushaq Monte Carlo, spied recently, should come with a similar list of features as the current top-spec Style variant. And, nope, the Monte Carlo grade of the compact SUV does not come with a panoramic sunroof.
This upcoming model will be offered with both the 1.0-litre and 1.5-litre turbo-petrol engine options. The gearbox choices comprise a 6-speed manual, 6-speed torque converter auto and a 7-speed DSG.
At present, the Kushaq’s Style variant costs between Rs. 14.89 lakhs and Rs. 18.19 lakhs (ex-showroom). Prospective customers can expect the compact SUV’s Monte Carlo grade to cost around Rs. 80,000/- more than the top-spec variant.
