Skoda Kushaq Monte Carlo Edition spotted at dealer stockyard, launch might be just around the corner
The upcoming special edition from Skoda, the 2022 Kushaq Monte Carlo Edition, has been spotted at a dealer stockyard hinting that its launch might be just around the corner. The model was also spotted undisguised earlier this year.
The new edition model which will reportedly sit above top-end Style variant of the current Kushaq lineup comes with a slew of cosmetic upgrades. On the outside, the Kushaq Monte Carlo gets blackened bits in place of the chrome parts the Style variant has. There are model-specific badges on the front fenders as well.
The gloss black grille and smoked headlamps at the front along with a black roof and black alloy wheels render the compact SUV a sporty look. The car also features black roof rails, ORVMs, and a sunroof.
On the inside, the Monte Carlo variant gets a dual-tone black and red upholstery with the dashboard and door panels also getting gloss red highlights. Other than that, the familiar digital instrument cluster, centre armrest, and the touchscreen infotainment system can be seen.
Skoda is likely to offer Kushaq Monte Carlo variant with 2 colour options – red and white and the compact SUV will also come fitted with different 17-inch alloy wheels wrapped with 205/55-section tyres.
The compact SUV might be powered by the same engines as the standard model including the 1-litre 3-cylinder TSI that produces 113 HP and 178 Nm, and a 1.5-litre, 4-cylinder TSI that exerts 148 HP and 250 Nm. The transmissions on offer will include a 6-speed manual, 6-speed automatic, and a 7-speed dual-clutch automatic.
At present, the Kushaq’s Style variant costs between Rs. 14.89 lakhs and Rs. 18.19 lakhs (ex-showroom). The new edition is likely to command a premium of Rs. 80,000/- over the style variant. The launch is likely to take place on 9th May.
