The Skoda Kodiaq has been spied on test in India yet again, likely to launch during the festive season.
The Skoda Kodiaq has been spied testing in India yet again, this time without any camouflage. MotorBeam reader Divyansh Agnihotri has spotted the SUV testing in Pune, Maharashtra. Skoda is going to launch the Kodiaq during the festive season this year.
Based on the MQB platform, the Skoda Kodiaq was unveiled to the public in September 2016. The test mule spotted features like LED DRLs, sporty looking alloy wheels, disc brakes in the rear wheels, 4×4 badging at the rear boot lid indicating it’s a 4WD variant. The Skoda Kodiaq is available in 5-seater and 7-seater variants in the international markets, however we aren’t sure how will Skoda spec the Indian Kodiaq.
The SUV gets a panoramic sunroof and the Skoda Connect infotainment system with WiFi, Google Earth, 360-degree cameras, Android Auto and Apple CarPlay. Powering the Kodiaq will be a 1.4-litre TSI petrol motor, 2.0-litre TSI petrol motor and a 2.0-litre TDI oil-burner. These engines will come paired to a DSG gearbox while a 6-speed manual is also likely to be offered.
The Skoda Kodiaq will go head on against the Ford Endeavour, Mitsubishi Pajero Sport and the Toyota Fortuner.
