Skoda Will Announce The Pricing Of The New Kodiaq On April 17, 2025, Platform Shared With Volkswagen Tiguan R Line

Skoda will announce the pricing of the new generation Kodiaq on April 17, 2025. The new Kodiaq will be offered in two trims, Laurin and Klement (L&K), as well as Sportline. It will come with a variety of upgrades such as updated exterior, interior and new features. Its cousin, the Volkswagen Tiguan R-Line, is scheduled to launch on April 14, 2025.

Styling Changes

Skoda Kodiaq’s revised design is an evolution of the outgoing model. The split headlight setup continues with the addition of LED DRLs. The grille also gets illuminated sections. The tail lights are now connected via a lightbar, retaining the C-shape design. In terms of wheels, the Kodiaq is equipped with 18-inch alloys as standard.

The Sportline trim features blacked-out treatment on the grille, D pillar garnish, and rear bumper to add a sporty look with sportier rims to complement the look. On the L&K trim, the following are finished in matte silver.

Engine

The 2025 Skoda Kodiaq is powered by a 2.0-litre turbocharged 4-cylinder engine which produces 204 HP and 320 Nm of torque. It is mated to a 7-speed DCT transmission and sends power to all four wheels (AWD) as standard. The new Kodiaq boasts an ARAI-rated fuel efficiency of 14.86 km/l.

Interior Changes

On the inside, the Kodiaq gets a new winged design with a 13-inch floating infotainment screen. There is also a 10-inch driver display and a two-spoke Skoda steering wheel with ‘Skoda’ lettering. There are also 3 rotary dials, which are primarily for the climate controls but can be changed depending on other functions of the vehicle.

Expected Pricing & Outlook

The Skoda Kodiaq’s refreshed model shares the platform with the Volkswagen Tiguan R-Line. We expect the SUVs to be priced upwards of Rs. 50 Lakh (On-Road). However, it is safe to assume that the Kodiaq will be the better seller as it will be bigger and more practical, whilst both SUVs share the same petrol engine. The new Kodiaq will face competition from the likes of the MG Gloster, Toyota Fortuner, Jeep Meridian and Hyundai Tucson.
