The Skoda Kodiaq is now showing on the company’s official website, while dealers have started taking bookings.
Skoda India is gearing up to launch its flagship SUV offering which is the Kodiaq. The premium SUV will be launched in the coming couple of months and will be available in 5-seater and 7-seater configurations. The Czech automaker has now started showing the SUV on their official website.
Dealers in many cities have started taking bookings for the Kodiaq. The booking amount ranges from Rs. 20,000-51,000/- and deliveries are expected to begin by the festive season of this year. The Skoda Kodiaq will be offered with a choice of both petrol as well as diesel engines.
The petrol engine will be a 2.0-litre TSI unit churning out 177 HP of power and 320 Nm of torque while the 2.0-litre TDI diesel mill will be offered in 2 states of tune – producing 147 HP and 340 Nm or 187 HP and 400 Nm. The engines will be mated to a 7-speed DSG transmission and AWD will also be available.
The Skoda Kodiaq is based on the MQB platform and gets a tech-loaded interior with lots of equipment. The vehicle will be priced in the range of Rs. 30-35 lakhs and it will give competition to the Ford Endeavour, Toyota Fortuner, Hyundai Santa Fe and of course its own cousin, the Volkswagen Tiguan.
