Skoda Karoq Revealed, Yeti Successor

The upcoming Skoda Karoq SUV has been revealed at Stockholm, will replace the Yeti.

The SUV measures 4382 mm in length, 1841 mm in width and 1605 mm in height

Skoda has unveiled the Karoq SUV at a special event in Stockholm. A successor to the Skoda Yeti, the Karoq will sit below the Kodiaq SUV. The Karoq will also be available in a 4×4 variant.

Lookswise, the Karoq has an imposing stance. The sculpted hood, slender grille and the optional LED headlights make the SUV look stylish in its appearance. At the side, there are muscular wheel arches, plastic body cladding and the black alloys look simply great. The rear gets distinctive looking sharp taillights, and a tailgate mounted spoiler.

The interiors are typical Skoda and straight-forward. There’s a touchscreen infotainment system with Android Auto and Apple CarPlay and wireless smartphone charger. The Karoq is the first car from Skoda to get a digital instrument cluster. Other options include a heated steering wheel, heated seats and LED ambient lighting.

Skoda is offering the Karoq with a choice of 5 engine options. A 1.0-litre TSI petrol motor producing 113 HP and 175 Nm of torque and a 1.5-litre TSI petrol motor producing 148 HP and 250 Nm of torque. Among the diesels, there is a 1.6-litre TDI diesel motor producing 113 HP and 250 Nm of torque. The 2.0-litre TDI diesel motor comes in 2 states of tunes, one producing 148 HP and 340 Nm of torque and the other producing 187 HP and 400 Nm of torque. All these engines come mated to either a 6-speed manual or a 7-speed DSG gearbox.

Skoda is offering a whole lot of safety systems on the Karoq that includes Park Assist, Lane Assist, Traffic Jam Assist, Adaptive Cruise Control, Blind Spot Detect, Emergency Assist and Front Assist with predictive Pedestrian Protection.
