Skoda compact SUV prototype spotted once again revealing more details
Skoda has been testing their upcoming compact SUV rigorously across the country. Last time around we saw the front fascia of the car with sharp design details and its shorter footprint compared to the Skoda Kushaq. This time around we get to see more details of the prototype.
The exterior of the new baby Skoda will get inspiration from its elder siblings but have its own identity. It will come with some sharp design details including square shaped tail lamps and minimalistic design details which makes it look like Audi Q2 from the rear profile. It will be based on the same MQB A0 IN architecture of the Skoda Kushaq but with a shorter wheelbase measuring at 2566 mm.
This will be the entry-level product for the Czech brand in the Indian market and will sit below the Skoda Kushaq in their lineup. It will be powered by the 1.0-litre, 3-cylinder turbo-petrol engine producing 115 HP and 178 Nm of torque that will be paired with either a 6-speed manual or a 6-speed torque converter automatic transmission.
Some of the features will trickle down from Skoda Slavia and Kushaq. You might also see some new features on offer including 360-degree camera and Advanced Driver Assistance Systems (ADAS).
The new compact SUV from Skoda will compete with a range of cars in the segment including Hyundai Venue, Maruti Brezza, Kia Sonet, Tata Nexon, Mahindra XUV 3XO, Nissan Magnite, Renault Kiger and the likes.
