Simple Energy Dot One is the second offering from the electric scooter maker
Simple Energy has introduced its latest electric two-wheeler, the Simple Dot One. Priced at an introductory rate of Rs. 99,999/- (ex-showroom Bangalore). The exclusive introductory pricing is reserved for pre-booked Simple One customers from Bangalore and will be available until inventory lasts.
New customers can anticipate a slightly higher premium when the launch price is revealed in January 2024. Bookings for the Simple Energy Dot One are now open online.
As the second offering from Simple Energy, the Dot One is a sub-variant based on the platform of the Simple One. The new scooter boasts a certified range of 151 km, the EV maker claims it is the longest-range electric two-wheeler in its segment.
Featuring a single variant with a fixed battery, the Dot One comes with a claimed 151 km certified range and160 km in IDC. The model is available in four colour options – Namma Red, Brazen Black, Grace White and Azure Blue. Simple Energy is offering the Dot One in LightX and BrazenX colour options as part of the introductory offering. Deliveries will commence in Bangalore and extend to other cities in a phased manner.
The Dot One comes equipped with specially designed tyres aimed at maximising on-road range. With a claimed acceleration timing of 0 to 40 km/hr in 2.77 seconds, Simple Energy says it is the fastest electric two-wheeler in its segment. The model features 12-inch wheels on both ends paired with 90-90 tubeless tyres.
The Dot One houses a 3.7 kWh battery capacity and an 8.5 kW electric motor, delivering a peak torque output of 72 Nm. Safety features include CBS and disc brakes. It has a 35-litre under-seat storage compartment and features a touchscreen instrument cluster with app connectivity.
