UV sales in September 2021 saw the Maruti Ertiga rise to the top and the Eeco, also from Maruti Suzuki, occupy the second position.
The Ertiga registered sales of 11,308 units, while the Eeco had 7844 unit sales last month and during the same period, Toyota retailed 4724 units of the Innova Crysta.
Maruti sold 3748 units of its XL6 in September 2021, while Renault found 2029 new takers for its Triber compact MPV in the said period.
Mahindra’s Bolero was driven home by 1755 new buyers this past month. It occupied sixth place in the September 2021 UV sales chart, followed by the Kia Carnival with 404 unit sales.
The Mahindra Marazzo (70 units), Toyota Vellfire (52 units) and Datsun GO+ (29 units), completed the list.
Overall, cars such as the Ertiga (13 percent), Innova Crysta (16 percent), XL6 (80 percent), Carnival (22 percent) and Vellfire (271 percent) all posted year-on-year (YoY) sales growth in September.
Total sales of the cars in the segment stood at 31,963 units, which is a 17 percent decline when compared with sales registered by them during the same period a year ago.
