Scooter sales in September 2021 reduced by a small margin when compared with the same period last year
The second most sold 2-wheeler in September 2021 also leads the scooter sales chart and that vehicle is the Honda Activa.
Having registered 2.45 lakh unit sales, the Activa leads second-placed Jupiter, which found 56,339 new homes, by a considerable margin.
Third place in the September 2021 scooter sales chart was taken by the Access 125, 45,040 units of which were sold by Japanese firm Suzuki.
Honda sold 34,557 units of the Dio in September, while TVS retailed 29,452 units of the NTorq during the same period, followed by the Hero Pleasure+ (21,648 units).
Yamaha’s scooters the Ray ZR and Fascino 125 came next with 16,121 units and 14,244 unit sales, while the Hero Destini 125 (12,358 units) and Honda Grazia (9065 units), followed suit.
In all, the scooters in the top 10 list for the month of September registered sales of 4,84,176 units collectively, which is a 5 percent year-on-year sales degrowth.
