Hyundai has already commenced testing of the next generation i10 in India, which is set to be launched by 2014. The second generation Hyundai i10 is bigger in most dimensions. It is expected to be a very competent vehicle for the Korean automaker to rival the Honda Brio and Maruti Suzuki Ritz. Prices will be hiked marginally too as input costs keep increasing every year. The all new i10 is being tested in Europe as well and will also be manufactured in Turkey.

The second generation Hyundai i10 will sport an aggressive looking front end. The fluidic styling will be used and the height of the car is expected to be almost similar to the current model. The mew Hyundai i10 will be offered with 14-inch wheels and will go on sale in India and globally simultaneously.
Hyundai will also give the interiors a major make over, offering more features on the car. The 2014 Hyundai i10 will also feature a new 1.0-litre petrol engine which will be a 3-cylinder unit with Kappa technology. The current 1.2-litre Kappa 2 engine will be retained as well. Most importantly, Hyundai is working on giving the i10 a diesel engine, which is most likely to make its way in the all new i10. The diesel engine will a 1.1-litre, 3-cylinder unit, giving the i10 more appeal.
