Royal Enfield wants to become a global leader in the mid-sized motorcycle segment and has decided to increase the number of vehicles in their portfolio. They are presently developing motorcycles which suit the requirements of global customers. With the new platform (which was developed for the Conti), we can expect more bikes based on the same underpinnings. Currently the mid-sized segment is estimated to be around 8 lakhs units per annum globally.
