Royal Enfield Super Meteor 650 Bagger variant spotted testing in India
Royal Enfield flagship cruiser Super Meteor 650 has been spotted with a bagger variant. While the cruiser motorcycle has already been launched, this bagger variant appears to feature removable and lockable panniers, which were initially showcased as part of Royal Enfield’s wide range of accessories at Rider Mania 2022.
The bagger-style panniers seem to complement the Super Meteor 650’s rear fender seamlessly, adding a touch of style and practicality to the cruiser. Judging from their placement and the exhaust layout, it’s likely that the panniers are designed with equal capacity on both sides.
Royal Enfield might be testing the riding dynamics and the overall balance of the bike with these panniers before they introduce them as a new variant, accessory or even a special edition. The addition of panniers might make it a more practical cruiser motorcycle for touring.
Although the panniers were revealed at the Rider Mania event last year, they are currently not listed on the brand’s official website, suggesting that they might still be undergoing testing or final refinements. However, based on the previously disclosed prices of Rs. 13,500/-, it is reasonable to assume that they will be competitively priced when officially launched later this year.
