Royal Enfield Shotgun 350 & Classic 650 more details revealed
Royal Enfield Shotgun spotted testing for the first time! The Indian motorcycle maker is currently testing a wide range of their upcoming bikes including adventure motorcycles and cruiser bikes. We spotted the Himalayan 450 yesterday and now MotorBeamer Arul Ganeshraja sent us some pictures of an all-new RE bike which seems to be the Shotgun 350 and the Classic 650.
While the overall look of the Shotgun is unmistakably Royal Enfield, there are some interesting details that makes it look unique. It has got white wall tyres, clear lens indicators and Ape Hanger handlebars. Notice how the rear seat is suspended with side mounted grab handles.
The Shotgun gets spoked wheels and some chrome on the LED headlight. The overall look is a mix of retro and modern. We can’t wait to see the final production version, which might be revealed by the end of this year or early next year.
The Classic 650 on the other hand resembles the Classic 350 to a great extent but with a more premium look. It also comes with wired spoke wheels and a good dose of chrome. Notice the LED headlight unit which is not offered in the Classic 350.
The Classic 650 will be powered by the same 648cc parallel-twin engine borrowed from its siblings. It produces 47 HP and 52 Nm of torque. We believe RE will be offering the same output. However, the tuning and gearing might be changed slightly to suit the character of the bike.
We hope Royal Enfield showcases all their upcoming motorcycles at the EICMA show in November later this year. What are your thoughts on both the bikes? Tell us in the comments and join our MotorBeam Community on Facebook.
