Royal Enfield Scrambler 650 Is A Custom Built Interceptor

Latvian RE dealer in Europe modifies Interceptor 650.

Interceptor 650 modified to look like a Scrambler

Royal Enfield has a huge presence in the global market. The Indian bike brand is available in many countries. One of the dealers in Europe has modified the Interceptor 650.

Royal Enfield is expected to launch a scrambler version of the 650 platform soon. However, this custom built Royal Enfield Scrambler 650 looks like a legit version of it.

The modifications on the bike are spot on to give it an authentic scrambler look. The dealer has put RE accessories along with other after market equipment.

The most apparent modification here is the exhaust. This is an aftermarket side-mounted exhaust system, which gives away the trait of a scrambler instantly. This exhaust unit is 12 kgs lighter than the stock version.

Even the handlebar has been raised for off-road centric ergonomics. Engine bash plate has been added for rough road usage. There’s wire-mesh protection cover and fly screen for better wind protection. It comes with a luggage rack too.

The Michelin Anakee knobby tyres are fitted in this custom bike. It looks quite authentic with these tyres. The 650cc engine has been re-tuned as well for more power, specs haven’t been revealed yet.

With free-flow exhaust and re-tuned ECU, the modified Royal Enfield Interceptor will offer better performance. Only 10 units will be modified and sold by the dealer in Latvia.

Royal Enfield is officially expected to come up with their scrambler soon. It is rumoured to be based on the same 650cc platform and will add to the existing Continental GT and Interceptor lineup.
