Royal Enfield Interceptor Bear 650 trademarked, Scrambler variant of Interceptor
Royal Enfield Interceptor Bear 650 name has been trademarked recently. It is a new Scrambler variant of the Interceptor that was spotted testing recently in the global markets.
The bike is currently in its last stages of testing and the prototypes spotted recently revealed the details of the new Scrambler from the Indian bike maker. The front gets a circular headlamp with LED lights and chrome finishing. It comes with USD forks from the Super Meteor. It will be equipped with wire spoke wheels and dual purpose rubber.
Some of the parts will be borrowed from the Interceptor 650. The handlebar will be tweaked and gets a connecting rod which is often found in most of the scrambler bikes and that connecting rod is most likely to get a foam too for a premium appeal. It comes with a single seat setup and RE might offer new ribbed seats for the Scrambler.
It will also get a new tail light with chrome elements and LED turn indicators. Another typical Scrambler element is the circular panel under the seat which is used as number board plate in racing events. The bike will come with 19-inch front wheels and 17-inch rear wheels.
To be powered by the same 649cc parallel-twin air/oil-cooled engine that produces 47 BHP at 7150 RPM and 52 Nm of torque at 5250 RPM, mated to a 6-speed gearbox.
The new Royal Enfield Interceptor Bear 650 is expected to hit the showrooms sometime in 2024. What are your thoughts about this product and the new name?
