The Royal Enfield Himalayan new colour has been spotted at a dealer yard, scheduled for a launch soon.
Royal Enfield’s Himalayan has been spotted in a new colour in India. The yet-to-be-named colour is inspired by the snow-capped mountains of the Himalayas and is expected to further boost the sales of the Himalayan. The adventure bike was relaunched in BS4 guise (with FI) in September last year and has had quite a good start in the Indian market. The vehicle is currently priced at Rs. 1.84 lakhs (ex-showroom, Delhi) and is available in two colours – Snow and Granite.
The new colour trim doesn’t get any mechanical changes and continues to be suspended by telescopic forks up front and a monoshock at the rear. The front gets a 21-inch spoked wheel while the rear does with a 17-incher. There are disc brakes at both the ends.
The new colour variant is expected to arrive at dealerships in the coming few weeks but delivery will be a slow process, says a dealer. The Bullet-maker has decided to produce the Himalayan in limited number of units in the first phase as it wants to gauge the customer response to the FI variant before producing it in larger numbers.
The company claims the new Himalayan is a completely new motorcycle with linear power delivery, lesser vibrations and better acceleration. The bike draws power from a 411cc single-cylinder, air-cooled and fuel-injected motor producing 24.5 HP of power and 32 Nm of torque. The powertrain is mated to a 5-speed gearbox. The Himalayan is still unrivalled in India.
