Royal Enfield Himalayan FI spied testing, the Bullet maker will launch the new Himalayan after ironing out issues.
The Royal Enfield Himalayan FI has been spotted testing in Bangalore very recently. Only the rear of the motorcycle is seen in the images. It’s been three months since the Government of India announced the ban on sale and registration of BS3 vehicles in India and Royal Enfield has not yet brought the BS4 version of the adventure tourer.
Royal Enfield had stopped the production and sale of the BS3 Himalayan since April 2017. However better late than never, Royal Enfield will be launching the BS4 Himalayan with fuel injection by August this year.
It is evident that Royal Enfield is taking its time to iron out the issues the motorcycle faced related to the quality of the cycle parts used in the bike. We hope the new Himalayan comes out as a reliable and trust-worthy machine, ready to explore the mountains.
Meanwhile there will not be any changes to the motorcycle, neither cosmetic nor mechanical. The Himalayan will come powered by a 411cc single-cylinder, 4-stroke, air-cooled, fuel-injected engine that is capable of producing 24.5 HP of power and 32 Nm of torque. The addition of FI will increase prices by around Rs. 10,000/-.
No word has come from Royal Enfield regarding the issues on the Himalayan and its rectification. The motorcycle was on sale for more than a year post which it was withdrwan from the market for serveral quality and reliability related issues.
