Royal Enfield Himalayan 450 launched with a starting price of Rs. 2.69 lakhs (ex-showroom & introductory till 31st December 2023). The new Royal Enfield Himalayan has also been launched in the international markets. It will be priced at £5750 (Rs. 6 lakhs) in the UK and €5900 (Rs. 5.38 lakhs) across Europe (Spain, France, Germany and Italy).

The new Royal Enfield Himalayan is powered by a 451.65cc, liquid cooled, DOHC, single-cylinder engine that produces 40.02 PS at 8000 RPM and 40 Nm torque at 5500 RPM. This motor comes mated to a 6-speed gearbox with slip and assist clutch. The idle RPM of the engine is 1300 RPM. It comes with three ride modes – Eco, Performance (ABS on) and Performance (ABS off)

Suspension duties are done by 43 mm upside down fork up front with 200 mm of wheel travel and linkage type monoshock at the rear with 200 mm wheel travel. Front tyre is a 90/90-21 unit while the rear is a 140/80-17. It gets a 320 mm disc at the front with double piston calliper and 270 mm disc at the rear with single piston calliper. The bike is equipped with dual channel ABS which is switchable.

It measures 2245 mm in length, 852 mm width, 1316 mm height and 1510 mm wheelbase. Ground clearance is 230 mm while seat height ranges from 805 mm to 825 mm with its adjustability. 17-litres of fuel tank capacity. 181 kg of dry weight and 196 kg kerb weight.

RE is offering a 4-inch digital instrument cluster which has a TFT display with phone connectivity. The navigation is powered by Google Maps and the bike gets USB C charging port as well.
