Royal Enfield is working on their first electric bike under Royal Enfield 2.0 strategy.
Royal Enfield has been changing their strategies recently to grow their brand across the globe. The Indian bike maker has started introducing bikes in new segments like adventure, cafe racer, etc. They have gone international with their new twin-cylinder flagship motorcycles Interceptor 650 and Continental GT 650.
The Indian bike maker is now shifting to their new Royal Enfield 2.0 vision under which they are developing their first all-electric motorcycle.
Royal Enfield’s new CEO Vinod Dasari says it is possible for the company to witness double digit growth considering the new range of products that will come. He says most of their capex will go into capability building, new products, electric and other stuff along with many small assembly plants around the world.
The bike maker is working on a new electric bike platform at Royal Enfield’s technology centre in the UK. We can expect their first all-electric motorcycle to make its debut at the EICMA show next year.
