Royal Enfield Crosses 1 Million Sales Annually, First Time In Brand’s History

Royal Enfield, the aspirational retro bike choice of many, has surpassed the milestone of 1 million sales in the Financial Year 2024-25. The brand has seen positive sales figures in the month of March as well. There are multiple reasons behind this milestone, including the expansion of the Chennai-based manufacturer.

Robust Model Portfolio

One of the reasons behind this achievement is the robust model portfolio, which the retro-focused brand focuses on. Currently, the 350cc segment houses the Bullet 350, Hunter 350, Classic 350, Goan 350 and Meteor 350. The 650cc twin-cylinder engine is found in Interceptor 650, Continental GT 650, Bear 650, Super Meteor 650, Shotgun 650 and Classic 650.

Additionally, the company also has the 450cc range, which includes Himalyan 450 and Guerrilla 450, as well as the 440cc engine, which is found in the Scram 440. Not to mention, there is also the Scram 411, which is the smaller version of the former.

Sales Figures Of March 2025

It is the 350cc range of bikes that has generated the most sales, accounting for 86.43% of the total 87,312 sales. It is an increase in sales compared to the previous year, 66,363 units. This means an increase of 31.57% Year-On-Year growth. In terms of the Month-On-Month growth, the brand has been able to register 12.26%, gaining 9537 units in volume.

The models carrying engine capacity above 350cc account for 13.57% of the total sales. These sales stand at 13709 units and 49.21% Year-On-Year growth, recording 9188 units sold as compared to last year. The Month-On-Month growth has also seen a 6.31% rise, selling 12895 units, compared to the previous month.
The volume growth stood at 4521 units and 814 units for Year-On-Year and Month-On-Month, respectively.

Domestic & International Sales Figures

The domestic sales for the brand are 88050 units, accounting for 87.16% of the total sales. This was a 33.32% Year-On-Year growth with a volume gain of 22,006 units. In addition to this, there is also an 8.97% Month-On-Month growth with a volume gain of 7251 units.

It can be observed that Royal Enfield sold 12971 units internationally, yielding a 36.44% Year-On-Year growth and 31.41% Month-On-Month growth. The volume gain is 3464 units Year-On-Year and 3100 units when it comes to Month-On-Month. The total units sold come to 101,021, representing a 33.71% Year-On-Year growth and a 25,470 unit volume gain.

Sales Figures Of FY 2024-25

Royal Enfield was able to record a total sale of 1,009,900 units in Financial Year 2024-25, a historic milestone achieved for the first time in the brand’s history. This means a Year-On-Year Growth of 10.65% and 97,168 units of recorded volume growth. In terms of yearly sales, it comes down to 902,757 units sold domestically and 107,143 units internationally.

Outlook

The Chennai-based brand can enjoy this growth as a result of expanding its model range and capitalizing on its goodwill. The rise in exports is a result of the same expansion. Royal Enfield is poised to break this record as well, showing greater ambitions of catering to Indian and international riders alike.
