Royal Enfield Continental GT Caught Testing With 750cc Engine

A Royal Enfield Continental GT has been snapped up with a powerful 750cc, twin-cylinder engine which is expected to make it to their future line of products.

In what comes in as exclusive news, Royal Enfield has been found to be testing a new 750cc engine with its flagship offering, the Continental GT. This motorcycle has started of a new segment of cafe racers in India and is one awesome looking two-wheeler. It is also the company’s best and most advanced bike till date and comes equipped with world-class components such as Brembo brakes, Paioli shocks and Pirelli tyres which take the cafe racer’s riding experience to an all new level for a RE machine.

Judging by the picture that gives us a closer view at the engine, one can easy determine that the engine is an in-line twin cylinder. The engine seems to have rather huge carburetors, instead of a much more efficient fuel-injection system. Though fuel-efficiency of the engine will be compromised, leaving out the fuel-injection system from the motorcycle will enable the company to instead reduce their production costs and thereby even help them to price the motorcycle much more competitively. We can also find an oil-cooler in the engine which will help in keeping the engine cool in slow moving, stop and go city traffic and will also help the motorcycle to hit higher rev limits than current times. Both the cylinders also get separate spark plugs.

Royal Enfield has finally decided to climb up the ladder in terms of engine size which they will be using to power their future offerings. The powerful 750cc engine is also expected to be the most refined and vibration free engine ever produced by Royal Enfield to give the rider a more pleasurable riding experience altogether.

It is rather interesting to see that the Continental GT is able to hold a massive 750cc twin-cylinder engine judging by the relatively compact dimensions of the cafe racer. This engine should be able to generate around 45 BHP of power with a relatively high torque figure of more than 60 Nm for sure. If this engine can fit in the Continental GT, then there is no doubt that other models from the same stable will also feature the most powerful engine till date from the Chennai based manufacturer.
