The Royal Enfield Concept KX has been revealed at the ongoing EICMA 2018.
The much awaited concept of the upcoming Royal Enfield flagship has been revealed. The bob-tail motorcycle has been christened as Royal Enfield Concept KX and boy it looks gorgeous! This design is something that we have never seen yet in the RE family.
The Indian bike maker is marketing the Concept KX as ‘the last word in luxury motorcycles’. Luxury indeed! The bottle green colour, cantilevered saddle finished in beige leather, shiny V-Twin engine and such attention to detail makes it look the part.
The Royal Enfield Concept KX is powered by a 838cc, liquid-cooled, V-Twin engine and the same is evident with the 838 badge on the motor. However, there is no official word yet on the tech specs of the KX.
The concept pays homage to the original Royal Enfield KX that was launched in the 1930s. It was powered by an air-cooled 1140cc V-Twin. The styling inspiration comes from that legendary motorcycle and Royal Enfield has done a great job of matching the retro look with a modern touch.
Some of the modern tech of the Concept KX includes LED headlight, all-digital instrument cluster, alloy wheels, twin discs and grider forks.
We hope Royal Enfield comes with a similar looking production model and there’s minimal toning down from the concept. The motorcycle maker is expected to come up with the production-spec version next year and introduce it to our markets by 2020.
Royal Enfield seems to be quite aggressive with their new strategies taking shape. They are indeed targeting the luxury brands such as Harley-Davidson and Triumph with their swanky new high capacity motorcycles.
