Royal Enfield Classic 350 ABS Launch Soon

The Indian manufacturer will finally upgrade the safety of its motorcycles in India.

The Royal Enfield Classic 350 is set to get a dual-channel ABS

Royal Enfield has been one company that has always shied away from installing new technology in its bikes. Its cult followers feel that’s how it should be done as the retro mechanicals are what Royal Enfield bikes are known for. But changing times call for upgrades and the company will finally provide a dual-channel ABS on its 350cc bikes.

The Royal Enfield Classic 350 ABS version is expected to be introduced on 27th August 2018 and will also come in two new colours. These will be the matte blue and the matte beige, the official names are expected to be different as they will be paying homage to the Indian Armed Forces.

Royal Enfield has a history with the armed forces as its motorcycles were used by the soldiers in World War II. The company had even introduced a limited edition Pegasus model that sold out in under three minutes.

The Royal Enfield Classic 350 ABS version will remain the same mechanically and will continue to be powered by a 346cc, air-cooled motor that produces 19.8 HP at 5250 RPM and 28 Nm of peak torque at 4000 RPM. Known for its superb low-end torque, the 4-stroke engine comes mated to a 5-speed gearbox. It has disc brakes at the front and the rear and the ABS will be controlling both of them to prevent the tyres from locking under hard braking.

Prices of the new Royal Enfield 350cc might increase slightly because of the added technology but the bikes will still be worth it as you cannot really put a price on your safety.
