Royal Enfield has entered the fourth largest 2-wheeler market in the world, Brazil through Royal Enfield Brazil.
The Bullet maker has inaugurated its very first dealership in Sao Paulo in Brazil under its newly formed subsidiary – Royal Enfield Brazil. This dealership shall also cater to the after sales services of the British motorcycles. Currently, there are three products on sale, the Bullet 500, Classic 500 and the Continental GT. Outside India, this shall be the second subsidiary of Royal Enfield after the United States of America.
Royal Enfield is all excited to enter a new market and cater to a different group of customers. It also feels that the mid-size motorcycle segment in Brazil is under-served. In FY 2016-17, the company sold a total of 6.6 lakh units and plans to increase its production to roll out 9 lakh units annually.
Royal Enfield will be introducing their first 750cc offering for the Indian market, and on the other hand has planned to start deliveries of the Classic 500 Redditch by this June in the UK. The Classic 500 Redditch will be manufactured here in India and exported to the UK, but it is not clear whether the Classic 500 Redditch will be sold in India.
