Rolls-Royce Cullinan Facelift Launched In India, Priced From Rs. 10.50 Crores

Rolls-Royce Cullinan facelift enters the Indian market with a hefty price tag

Rolls-Royce Cullinan facleift launched in India, priced from Rs. 10.50 crores (ex-showroom) for the standard version and Rs. 12.25 crores (ex-showroom) for the Black Badge variant. The Cullinan Series II brings updated styling, enhanced technology and improved interior features. The model was first revealed globally in May this year and Indian deliveries are expected to begin in the fourth quarter of 2024.

Exterior and Design Updates

The Cullinan Series II sports notable design revisions, including slimmer headlamps and L-shaped LED daytime running lights that now extend down to the bumper. The front grille has also undergone subtle changes, while the rear bumper features a stainless-steel skid plate for a refreshed look. Additionally, the SUV rolls on new, redesigned wheels that complement its updated aesthetics.

Interior and Technology

Inside, Rolls-Royce has introduced several new elements to enhance luxury and personalisation. A full-width glass panel spans the dashboard, showcasing an updated display cabinet that houses an analogue clock and a miniature illuminated Spirit of Ecstasy mascot. The Cullinan now comes equipped with Rolls-Royce’s latest Spirit infotainment system, offering advanced graphics and the ability to personalise instrument displays, even allowing owners to match their interior colours to the vehicle’s exterior paint or upholstery.

Performance

The Cullinan facelift retains its powerful 6.75-litre twin-turbocharged V12 engine. In the standard variant, this engine produces 571 HP and 850 Nm of torque, while the more performance-focused Black Badge version generates 600 HP and 900 Nm of torque. Both variants are equipped with an 8-speed automatic transmission that distributes power to all four wheels.

Price Comparison

The new Cullinan Series II comes with a significant price increase compared to the previous model. The standard Cullinan now costs Rs. 3.55 crores more than the outgoing version, which was priced at Rs. 6.95 crores (ex-showroom). Similarly, the Black Badge variant sees a Rs. 4.05 crores hike over its predecessor, which was priced at Rs. 8.20 crores (ex-showroom). Despite these increases, the Cullinan remains the most expensive SUV available in India, with no direct competitors in its price range.

Market Position

With its luxurious features, cutting-edge technology and iconic design, the Cullinan continues to cater to an exclusive clientele. While the price hike is substantial, Rolls-Royce’s unmatched brand prestige and the enhancements introduced with the Series II ensure its appeal to discerning buyers in India and globally.

Deliveries of the Cullinan Series II in India are slated to begin by the end of this year, with the brand expecting strong demand for both the standard and Black Badge variants.
