Revolt has launched India’s first electric motorcycle, the RV 400 in India with EMI plans. The bike is available in two body paints – Red and Black. The company has also introduced a second model, the RV 300. Both bikes get an interesting monthly payment plan that starts at Rs. 3499/month for 3 years for the RV 400 and Rs. 2999/month for 3 years for the RV 300. The top-spec RV 400, equipped with more features costs Rs. 3,999/month for 3 years. This equates to a total price tag of Rs. 1.11 lakhs on the RV 300, and Rs. 1.48 lakhs for the top RV 400.

The more affordable RV 300 is a smaller model at a 30 mm shorter wheelbase at 1350 mm. It has a top speed of 65 km/hr in Sport mode but the range is reduced to 80 kms. In Eco mode, it has higher range of 180 kms with the top speed reduced to 25 km/hr. In Normal mode, it claims to return a range of 110 kms with a top speed of 45 km/hr.
The RV 400 is powered by a 3000W motor that produces 5000W of power and 170 Nm of torque. It gets a 3.24 KW battery with pouch cell technology on which the brand is extending an unlimited warranty. Meanwhile, the product warranty for Revolt RV 400 is 5 years or 75,000 kms.
The higher RV 400 offers a claimed range of 156 kms. It gets a smartphone application that lets one choose an artificial exhaust sound for a bike. The application gets 4 pre-set sounds while more can be added according to the owner’s preference.
All the RV models will also come with ‘introductory benefits’ such as a battery warranty of up to 8 years or 1.5 lakh kms, free maintenance benefits up to 3 years or 30,000 kms, a product warranty (5 years or 75,000 km) and free insurance.
As of now, there is no direct rival for the RV 400 and the RV 300 in India.
