Renault Zoe, a 5-door supermini electric car, which was first launched in 2012 in France, was spotted at Graphite Road, Bangalore. Apart from its impressive looks and features, it has a lot to boast about.
Electric vehicles are popular in France and the Renault Zoe is one of them. Though being an electric car, there is no compromise in its performance. It is the first mass-produced electric vehicle with an NEDC (New European Driving Cycle) driving range of over 130 miles and is equipped with specially designed E-V tyres, offering low resistance while driving.
The Renault Zoe has impressive interiors and it has an R-Link infotainment system including a 7-inch touchscreen which handles everything from the TomTom live navigation to the stereo controls. It even has a voice control function which can be used to set your destination, launch an application or even call a contact. The automatic climate control with one touch quick demist function is something remarkable.
Style is what everyone wants in their lives and to ensure that, the car comes with a streamlined appearance and an impressive piece of design. The DRLs, smoked headlamps and transparent rear lights give the Zoe an appealing look, thus making it look unique. The front comes with a set of conventional headlamps, giving it a better night vision experience and a black radiator grille with a blue tinted chrome Renault logo.
The Renault Zoe is powered by a 22 kWh Lithium-ion battery pack and a 65 kW synchronous electric motor. The car is compatible with various power sockets and sources which is possible because of the Chameleon Charger that is fitted to the car. It can generate a maximum power output of 80 HP and a maximum torque output of 220 Nm and it comes with a dual-clutch transmission.
