Renault has just unveiled the KWID Concept at the 2014 Auto Expo. The KWID is a new concept which is designed by Renault’s international team for new markets. This is the first time a global concept is debuting in India. In fact, it’s the first global concept to debut outside of Europe, showing how important India is for the French automaker. The vehicle has been designed with inputs from Renault India. The car looks very muscular with short overhangs and a robust design. The interior uses a two-tone elastometer material.
The Renault KWID concept is powered by a 1.2-litre petrol engine which is turbocharged and mated to a dual clutch transmission. It is a ZOE ready vehicle which means it can receive batteries to become an electric. The car has quite a few technologies in it with the Flying Companion being the highlight. This basically let’s you operate the helicopter in two modes which shows a pre-programmed flying sequence or a one paired with a GPS location. The car does look out of the world in person which means production chances are bleak.
