The Renault Trezor Concept has made its presence at the 2018 Auto Expo in Greater Noida.
Making its first appearance at the Paris Motor Show in 2016, the Renault Trezor Concept has finally made its way to the ongoing 2018 Auto Expo. The two-seater coupe is designed by Laurens Van Den Acker and has become an eye-candy at the event because of its sleek and futuristic silhoutte. The car features a single-piece clamshell roof and is draped in a red and silver colour scheme inside out.
Measuring 4700 mm x 2180 mm x 1080 mm (length x width x height) in outer dimensions, the electric grand tourer gets a long bonnet, wide stance and a sloping roofline. The vehicle is constructed using a carbon fibre spine to connect the tubular steel frames which lends it a low kerb weight of 1600 kgs. Riding on large 21-inch and 22-inch alloy wheels at the front and rear respectively, the Trezor Concept gets metallic paint and looks wicked with red windows!
On the inside, Renault Trezor Concept gets a red wooden dashboard while the seats, door trims and pillars are draped in red leather upholstery. Apart from a large touchscreen display adorning the central console, the car also features a square multi-function steering wheel which gets touchscreen controls instead of traditional buttons. The dashboard itself is a work of art and has been designed with inputs from French-based KEIM-cycles.
The Trezor is powered by an electric powertrain that churns out 350 PS of power and 380 Nm of torque. It comes with two separate battery packs that are located at the front and rear ends of the vehicle. Apart from a variable-geometry air intake, the Trezor Concept uses RESS (Rechargeable Energy Storage System) technology to charge the batteries during braking. Renault claims a 0-100 km/hr timing of under 4 seconds.
