Renault To Update Triber MPV For 2021, Launch Soon

It is a shame that the Fiery Red colour will be discontinued with the update

Renault is looking at introducing the 2021 Triber with feature additions pretty soon, having gotten the Kiger’s launch out of the way last month.

Now, the affordable MPV will come with dual tone exterior paint option (a first for the car), while a new Cedar Brown colour will replace the Fiery Red shade.

Other colour schemes will be retained and it looks like all of them can be had with a contrasting black roof only on the top-of-the-line RXZ trim, likely for a bit more cash.

The carmaker has fitted the 2021 Renault Triber with dual horn and instead of having blinkers on the front wheel arch cladding and the car will also feature LED indicators on the ORVMs. Both these features are likely to be offered only on the top-spec trim.

Updates made to the interior of the 2021 Renault Triber include audio and phone controls on the steering wheel and height adjustment for the driver seat.

These changes aside, the small MPV will continue to be offered with the same set of features as before. Similarly, it will be powered by the same 1.0-litre petrol engine that can be paired with either a 5-speed manual or an AMT.

Expect the asking price of the MPV, which starts at Rs. 5.20 lakhs and ends at Rs. 7.50 lakhs (both prices ex-showroom, Delhi) to increase with this latest update.

Come 2022, Renault will plonk the 1.0-litre turbo petrol motor that does duty on the Kiger and the Nissan Magnite in the Triber’s engine bay. While turbo variants will cost more, they are also likely to be more fuel efficient, if the fuel economy figures of the 2 compact SUVs are anything to go by.

Finally, the driver’s seat can be adjusted for height
