Renault India took the centre stage by unveiling the Kwid Climber concept at the 2016 Auto Expo. Chances are the off-roader might make it to production guise.
Arguably the most fascinating launches of the year 2015 has to be the Renault Kwid. Looking at the stupendous success of it and wider acceptability among customers, Renault has chosen to display the customization potential with the Kwid Climber concept. The Kwid Climber is essentially the normal Kwid with off-roader style body detailing. Renault might produce the Kwid Climber at a later stage as it’s made after series of consultation with their suppliers.
The Kwid has always been known for its macho appeal which is one of the reasons for its amazing success. Here, Renault has raised the game further by turning this mini-crossover lookalike car into a proper crossover with off-roading pedigree (minus the four by four). Achieving the claim of an off-roading capable crossover has been possible with an increased rake to increase the ground clearance, diamond cut alloy wheels for increased endurance and protective cladding to protect against ruts and scratches.
