Renault showcased the Lodgy World Edition at the 2016 Auto Expo with a number of cosmetic updates in and out on the MPV while the launch is expected to happen soon.
Renault launched the Lodgy last year with features and pricing that would make the best-selling Innova look weak against it. But the buyers were not impressed with the new MPV and the sales never met expectations. However, the automaker does not seem to have lost hope as it showcased a special edition of the MPV called as the World Edition at the 2016 Auto Expo.
The Renault Lodgy World Edition sports a number of updates on the exterior which includes a new grille with chrome finishes at the front with dual-tone bumpers and newly designed fog lamps. The B and C-pillars are done in matte black colour with dual tone roof rails and black body claddings.
The front and rear skid plates are also redesigned while the rear has a roof mounted spoiler and the MPV rides on new 15-inch alloy wheels. The Renault Lodgy World Edition was painted in Fiery Red colour with an appearance similar to that of the Step Away edition with crossover like characteristics.
The cabin of the Renault Lodgy World Edition has orange accents at a number of places such as the centre console, instrument cluster and around the AC vents. The steering wheel has World Edition lettering on the spokes while the seats and floor carpets also had orange finishes on them.
The Renault Lodgy World Edition did not go under any mechanical changes and continues to be powered by the 1.5-litre diesel engine which is tuned in two different ways of which one produces 84 BHP and 200 Nm of torque while the more powerful version outputs 108 BHP and 245 Nm of torque, the more powerful model is mated to a 6-speed manual gearbox.
