The Renault Kwid has managed to create quite a buzz, Renault showrooms across the country are completely crowded for test drive of the Kwid, while waiting period rises up to 6 months for certain trims in some cities.
You read it first on MotorBeam. Renault India introduced its new entry level hatchback Kwid on 24th September 2015. The all new hatchback from Renault comes with a small 800cc engine, producing 54 BHP, this along with the fact that the design of the car has queues from its SUV sibling, the Duster, this itself has managed to create a lot of interest add to that a starting price tag of Rs. 2.57 lakhs (ex-showroom, Delhi) and this car immediately stands out among the competition.
The Renault Kwid managed to receive almost 25,000 bookings in the first two weeks of its launch. At the moment, the Kwid already has a waiting period of up to 6 months. It comes with features like dual-tone dashboard, digital display, Media & Nav touchscreen unit, optional driver airbag (RxT O), piano black finish on the centre console, front fog lamps, front power windows and remote keyless entry with central locking system.
The French automaker seem to have struck gold with this car, as customers are gathering in large numbers at Renault showrooms around the country to check out the car. Renault has placed two test drive cars in every showroom to meet the demand of test drives. The Kwid has managed to create such a buzz that people and potential customers are waiting in-line for hours together to have a go in test driving the car.
The Renault Kwid which comes in four variants RxT, RxT O, RxL and RxE, with the price ranging from Rs. 2.57 lakhs for the base model RxE to Rs. 3.51 lakhs for the top RxT trim (all prices ex-showroom, Delhi). The top trims RxT and RxT O though are the ones managing to be the most in demand. The mid-level variant, RxL seems to have lesser demand while the base variant RxE is not such a high seller.
