The Kwid has been on sale in the Indian market since 2015 and has been tweaked only a few times. Now, the company has crossed the 3 lakh sales milestone with the Kwid in the Indian market. Renault has achieved 98 percent localisation in manufacturing with the Kwid that has helped in the competitive pricing of the vehicle.
Renault offers the car in six colour choices, Fiery Red, Planet Grey, Moonlight Silver, Ice Cool White, Outback Bronze and Electric Blue. It is the only car in the segment which comes with 4 years or 1 lakh km warranty. This includes the standard 2 years or 50,000 km warranty plus the additional extended warranty of 2 yrs or 50,000 km for free. For four years, customers also get roadside assistance for free.
Kwid is a volume-driver for Renault in India and is one of India’s best-selling cars in the entry-level segment. With segment-leading features like the 7.0-inch touchscreen infotainment system with Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, a digital instrument cluster, one-touch lane change indicators and speed-dependent volume control, the Kwid has garnered a lot of attention from the buyers.
The car comes with two engine options – 0.8-litre and 1.0-litre petrol engines. The latter produces 68 BHP, while the 0.8-litre produces 54 BHP. There is an AMT gearbox also on offer with the 1.0-litre petrol engine.
