Renault Kwid RXL 1.0-litre has been launched in India at Rs. 4.16 lakhs for the MT version and at Rs. 4.48 lakhs for the AMT version. Both prices are ex-showroom, Delhi.
Bigger engine aside, the Kwid RXL 1.0-litre has the same features as the regular variant that is powered by the 0.8-litre engine. Renault claims the AMT variant is the most accesible 2-pedal BS6 offering in the market.
Renault India has also revealed that it has sold 3.5 lakh units of the Kwid in India since its launch. It has also exported more than 45,300 units of the car.
Renault Kwid RXL 1.0-litre is powered by a BS6 compliant 999cc, 3-cylinder petrol engine that produces 67 BHP and 91 Nm of peak torque.
The French carmaker has also announced a host of attractive offers for customers. These include ‘Buy Now Pay Later’ scheme where customers can buy a Renault car and start paying their EMI after three months of purchase.
The offer can be availed either at the dealership, on the Renault India website or through My Renault App. Also, customers can book cars from home at a nominal booking amount, and can also get loan approvals remotely from Renault Finance.
Renault made significant changes to the Kwid in the last quarter of 2019. Those include new SUV-inspired front face, low mounted headlamps, LED DRLs, tail lamps with LED light guide, R14 volcano grey multi-spoke wheels and skid plates.
Inside, there is an 8-inch touchscreen, LED digital instrument cluster, speed dependent volume control, among others.
Parking sensors are offered as standard. Also standard are ABS, EBD, driver airbag, seat belt reminder and speed alert.
