Renault has introduced a new base variant for the 1.0-litre engine trim of the Kwid.
The Renault Kwid has been gaining popularity in the Indian market ever since it was launched. The hatchback is fetching close to 10,000 sales every month and it is offered with 800cc and 1.0-litre petrol engines, with the larger engine also getting the option of an AMT transmission.
Now, Renault has launched the RxL trim for the 1.0-litre engine and it is priced competitively at Rs. 3.54 lakhs for the manual variant and Rs. 3.84 lakhs (ex-showroom, Delhi) for the AMT variant. The manual RxL 1.0 SCe variant is just Rs. 22,000/- pricier than the 800cc variant.
Renault aims to fetch even more sales with the introduction of these variants. The company is targeting tier II-IV cities and towns. The Kwid is also available with a host of accessories and the 1.0-litre variants also come with body decals and silver ORVMs. The Renault Kwid competes with the Maruti Alto, Hyundai Eon, Tata Nano and Datsun redi-GO.
