Renault Kiger Facelift Spotted, Expected To Come With Revised Front & Rear Bumper Design As Well As Fresh Interior
The Renault Kiger has been spied on recently. This allows us to understand what has changed in the dependable French sub-4 metre SUV. It is expected that Renault will give a more comprehensive update to the Kiger when compared with the 2025 model year. The French manufacturer will announce the facelift’s price later this year.
Design Cues
There are minor design changes to the Kiger. However, as a test mule, the car is heavily camouflaged. The profile of the sheet metal remains unchanged and the alloy wheels also look similar to the outgoing model. It is expected that the Kiger will get a revised front and rear bumper and the new Renault Logo.
From the spy shots, it can be understood that this Kiger test mule retains the C-shaped taillights.
Expected Interior Design
The Interior is supposed to get the same set of changes as its sister, the Nissan Magnite. There are expected tweaks to the dashboard and added soft-touch materials.
Additionally, the introduction of new upholstery for seats and door cards should be there. Not to mention, new features can also be expected to appeal to new buyers.
Powertrain Combinations To Stay The Same
The Kiger is powered by either a 1.0-litre Naturally Aspirated engine that produces 72 HP or a 1.0-litre Turbo Petrol engine that produces 100 HP. The Naturally Aspirated motor is mated to a 5-speed Manual Transmission or AMT. The Turbo Petrol engine is mated to either a 5-speed Manual Transmission or with CVT options.
It is expected that there will be no change in the powertrain options due to saving costs and a good reputation amongst buyers.
Expected Pricing
The pricing of the Kiger is expected to increase. Currently, the Renault Kiger is available between Rs. 6 lakhs to Rs. 11.25 lakhs (ex-showroom). The facelift should command a premium due to the expected increased feature set. However, a power increase for the Turbo and Naturally Aspirated engines will be appreciated.
