Renault has released a teaser video of the Kiger compact SUV concept ahead of the compact SUV’s official debut.
Although the video is very short, there are styling elements that can be noted like on the bonnet which has double bulges. The lighting cluster upfront with green blinkers, which is the LED DRL and dynamic indicator cluster is also seen.
Other parts that can be seen include the door handles with green lighting highlights, the rear roof spoiler with cutouts and green highlights, again, and the two-piece tail lights that are separated by metal.
Also, the cluster bulges outside and has horizontal detailing, while we also get a brief glimpse of the sharply raked rear windscreen and rather chunky roof rails.
The car been spied testing many a time and from the spy shots we have got to know that the Kiger will also have styling elements that other cars in the current Renault lineup possess.
For example, the Kiger will also come with the large chrome-lined radiator grille and the main headlight cluster will sit lower down in the front bumper.
Further, the compact SUV’s interior has also been spied. It will share the steering wheel, digital instrument cluster, centre console switches and the glove box with the Triber.
But the dashboard layout will be a bit different and Renault will also offer a “floating” touchscreen and restyled air vents, in the car.
Two petrol engine options will be offered in the Kiger and they are – a 1.0-litre NA petrol and 1.0-litre turbo-petrol units, while there will be manual, AMT and CVT options to choose from depending upon the variant and the selected engine option.
Having released the Renault Kiger concept teaser, the French carmaker will soon reveal the car before launching it in the market early next year.
Rivals for the car include Maruti Suzuki Vitara Brezza, Mahindra XUV300, Tata Nexon and the likes. After launching the Kiger, Renault will introduce the turbo petrol motor in the Triber MPV as well.
