Renault is trying all sorts of tricks to make the Fluence a big commercial success in the Indian executive car segment. Recently Renault launched the fully loaded diesel version of the Fluence in the Indian market after getting a strong market feedback for the same. Earlier when launching the Fluence, Renault launched a fully loaded petrol variant but didn’t do so for the diesel hoping keep prices low and tap the diesel market. But India being a diesel-inclined market now and customers willing to shell out more for features, Renault brought it in.
In recent times, Renault has brought out a “Advantage Edition” of the Fluence. The Renault Fluence Advantage Edition is similar to the other Fluence variants but with some features removed. Under the hood, the Renault Fluence Advantage Edition is still powered by the 1500cc diesel engine that produces 105 BHP of power at 4000 RPM and 240 NM of torque at 2000 RPM. In terms of dimensions also it remains the same with 4618mm in length, 1813mm in width and 1488mm in height. The car rides on 205/60 R16 tires and is sprung via MacPherson type strut with coil spring suspension.
The Renault Fluence Advantage Edition comes with features like Fog Lamps, EBD, ABS, ESP, power windows, steering adjustment etc. What has been removed in the Advantage Edition are Parking sensors, Traction Control, Rear Wiper, Leather seats, Rear AC vent, Folding rear seats, Sun Roof, chrome on window sill and boot lid, rear window sun blinds, electric adjust and fold rear view mirror, electro chrome rear view mirror and USB and Bluetooth. With a limited period offer, the Renault Fluence Advantage Edition comes at a killer pricing of Rs. 11.99 lakhs!
