Renault has updated the Duster 85 PS diesel variants with certain useful updates that first debuted on the top-end AWD model launched earlier this year.
Renault India has silently updated the Duster 85 Diesel variants in the country with subtle tweaks to the mechanicals and updated interiors. Affecting the RxL (Plus) and RxL (Option) trims, the updated compact SUV was spotted by Harish Bharti at a stockyard in Gurgaon, while an official launch hasn’t been announced yet. The updated Duster claims to get improved sound insulation added to the engine bay offering better NVH levels and new rubber beading for the doors that were first seen on the AWD Duster, launched earlier this year.
On the inside, the updated Renault Duster 85 PS gets revised interiors featuring a chunkier steering wheel, while the instrument console with white backlight gets a dedicated dial for the MID screen. You also get new steering column mounted audio controls carried over from the AWD version and the interiors are now done up in a slightly different shade of beige along with new fabric upholstered seats and door trims as well as piano black finished door handles.
The updates to the Duster are said to come after complaints of rust issues were raised by the UK buyers on India-made models. The updated model is also expected to get improved fit and finish as well as paint quality over the outgoing version, which will be extended to the top-end 110 PS variants as well. The updated models can be expected in showrooms by early next year with prices to remain the same. The Duster is Renault’s best selling model in India with prices starting from Rs. 7.86 lakhs (ex-showroom, Delhi).
