Renault had launched the Duster Adventure Edition at the 2014 Auto Expo earlier this year. With aesthetic upgrades to the compact SUV, the Adventure Edition then was available only in the higher spec 110 PS variant priced at Rs. 11.79 lakhs. Now, the company has also launched the Duster Adventure Edition in the lower spec 85 PS variant priced at Rs. 9.16 lakhs (all prices ex-showroom, Delhi). The Renault Duster Adventure Edition includes aesthetic upgrades comprising of smoked headlamps along with a bumper add-on that gets integrated fog lamps.
The front and rear bumper, door sills and wheel arches now sport rugged black cladding that adds to the off-road feel of the compact SUV. Other changes to the exteriors include ORVMs and door handles painted in white, while the alloy wheels have been finished in gunmetal grey. On the inside, the changes are primarily cosmetic with no addition to the equipment list. The upholstery is now done up in dual-tone shades of grey and lime green, which extends to the doors and the floor mats as well. The seats now sport ‘Duster’ embroidered into them.
In terms of powertrain, the Duster Adventure Edition 85 PS is powered by the 1.5-litre 4-cylinder dCi engine that puts out 85 PS of power at 3750 RPM and 200 Nm of torque at 1900 RPM, mated to a 5-speed manual gearbox. While the regular Renault Duster is priced at Rs. 8.61 lakhs (ex-showroom, Delhi), the Adventure Edition with all the extra goodies comes at a premium of Rs. 55,000/- over the regular version. Renault is also in the process of launching the 4×4 version of the Duster which has been confirmed to be available by the end of this year. The 4×4 system however is most likely to feature on the top end diesel variant only.
