Renault Confirms Fluence India Launch

Renault will start its second innings in India will the launch of the Fluence, this June, 2011. The company has officially confirmed the arrival of the Renault Fluence, which they say will be competively priced below its Western European rivals. Ofcourse the French automaker is talking about the Skoda Laura and Volkswagen Jetta against which the Fluence will compete. However Renault plans to undercut the Volkswagen rivals by pricing the Fluence in the league of the Civic and Corolla.

Renaut will assemble the Fluence in India by importing CKD kits from its Turket plant. However as the company plans to keep costs low, a bit of local content will go into the Fluence. Built on the Renault-Nissan C platform (which is also used on the Megane III), the Fluence will be powered by the Logan’s 1.5 liter dCi diesel motor with 105bhp of power. The Fluence’ forte would be its ride quality which will be the new benchmark for D-segment cars.
