Renault Captur Latin NCAP score is 4 stars with the car being equipped with 4 airbags.
Latin NCAP recently put the Brazil manufactured Renault Captur through crash tests and the Renault Captur Latin NCAP score is 4 stars. The test car came equipped with 4 airbags (2 front and 2 side) and all the variants of the vehicle also come with Electronic Stability Control (ESC) as standard.
Renault would be indeed happy and satisfied with the Renault Captur’s score. The crossover scored 4 stars for adult safety and 3 stars for child occupant protection. The cabin of the Renault Captur deserves a mention, no matter from which angle it was subjected to a hit, the cabin stayed intact, making it a safe place for the occupants.
Showcased at the 2016 Sao Paulo Auto Show, the Renault Captur will be heading to India as the Kaptur. Recently surfaced spy shots of the car make this evident. The Renault Kaptur to be sold in India will be based on the Duster MO platform, powered by the same engines that do duty the Duster. A 1.5-litre petrol and a 1.5-litre diesel in 2 states of tunes – 85 HP and 110 HP, will power the car.
The Renault Kaptur will rival the Hyundai Creta and the upcoming Mahindra S201 SUV that is based on the SsangYong Tivoli. It will be positioned above the Duster and will become Renault’s flagship car for India, as the Fluence and Koleos have been discontinued.
