The RE Himalayan FT 411 is not road-legal and will not be on sale for the general public.
Royal Enfield has revealed the Himalayan FT 411 Special at the ongoing Rider Mania in Goa. The company has also announced the launch of a new riding format called Slide School for which it has collaborated with Big Rock Moto Park. This special riding school will be organised at Big Rock Dirt Park in Bengaluru.
The Royal Enfield Himalayan FT 411 gets a new bodywork. It gets modified side panels and the retro-styled headlamp has been replaced with a number board. The Himalayan FT 411 has bid adieu to the analogue instrument cluster and the front brake. The motorcycle has been shod with special 18-inch
tubeless tyres from Timsun, unlike the stock bike’s tube styled setup.
Keeping in mind the performance exhaust fitted by S&S cycles, it is likely that the exhaust note of this modified Himalayan will be thicker than the standard model. The air filters have also been replaced and the modified model has been fitted with performance filters by K&NSpecs. Bengaluru will be first to experience the Slide School and the dates will be announced very soon.
The Himalayan FT 411 is powered by the same 411cc single-cylinder, air-cooled, SOHC, fuel-injected engine. Coupled to a 5-speed gearbox, the engine produces 24.5 PS of power and 32 Nm of torque. The bike weighs 194 kgs (kerb), while the custom Royal Enfield Himalayan FT 411 weighs just 164 kgs due to the weight loss regime.
