All electric Range Rover and Range Rover Sport spotted undisguised ahead of debut

Land Rover is preparing to launch the much awaited all-electric versions of the flagship Range Rover and Range Rover Sport. Both the models have been recently spotted completely undisguised ahead of their global debut.

As seen in these spy shots, the electric Ranger Rover models get mild styling tweaks compared to their internal combustion engine variants. The biggest change is up front with the closed grille design that looks quite out of place or not so premium on these prototypes.

The front and rear bumpers have also been revised, mostly for better aerodynamics adding to the driving range of these eSUVs. The ORVMs seem to be smaller as well compared to the ones seen on the ICE variants. Another updated to make it slippery and reduce drag. Of course we will see new alloy wheel designs in the final production version.

The charging ports seem to be on the regular fuel lid position at the rear left. Of course there are no exhaust pipe outlets at the rear and instead the SUVs get reflectors and tweaked styling instead of the exhaust outlets. We might see more clear details in the final production version including the EV badging. Overall the appearance looks very similar to the ICE models, which is a good thing for SUV lovers.

Land Rover has not disclosed any performance figures of these EVs but they have claimed that these will have go-anywhere capability and the performance will be comparable to the V8 counterparts. We can expect a range of around 600-700 km on full charge. The EVs are likely to get 800V charging hardware with charging speeds of up to 270kW.

Land Rover is expected to reveal the all-electric models later this year and is likely to introduce the eSUVs in India later next year. What are your thoughts on electric Range Rovers? Let us know in the comments section.
