Range Rover LWB Autobiography Black Edition Launched At Rs. 3.75 Crores

The Land Rover LWB Autobiography Black edition is part of Land Rover’s Engineer to Order division and comes with a host of exterior upgrades and interior touches for enhanced luxury and exclusivity.

With bespoke touches and ultra-luxury on offer, Land Rover has launched the Range Rover Long Wheelbase (LWB) Autobiography Black Edition in India with prices starting at Rs. 3.75 crores (ex-showroom, Mumbai). Having made its debut at the Los Angeles Auto Show in November 2013, this is the most luxurious Range Rover on offer and is part of Land Rover’s ‘Engineer To Order’ (ETO) division and sports extra legroom with a whole lot of exclusivity.

The Range Rover LWB Autobiography Black Edition gets a wider rear door that aids in easier ingress and egress for the passengers while the longer wheelbase has ensured an increased legroom of 186 mm for the second row. The Black edition can also be identified with the host of exterior upgrades with the uniquely finished grille and side vents, chrome detailing on the tailgate, bespoke 21-inch aluminium alloy wheels with a high gloss finish and three exclusive colour combinations.

On the inside, the Autobiography Black edition is all about pampering the passengers and the bench type seat from the regular versions in the second row has been replaced by the new individual seats that can be reclined up to 17-degrees and gets lumbar massage and calf rests. Passengers also get a centre console giving control over almost every creature comfort inside the cabin including the 10.2-inch infotainment screens, chiller, tray tables with champagne glass holsters, door blinds, mood lighting and USB ports. The seats are upholstered in fine leather with a range of colour options while the front seats also get the massage function feature with 18-way adjustability.

In terms of power, the Range Rover LWB Autobiography Black edition uses the 4.4-litre SDV8 diesel engine that belts out 339 HP of power and 740 Nm of torque; whereas the more expensive petrol variant uses the 5.0-litre Supercharged V8 engine, producing 510 HP of power and 625 Nm of torque. Both the engines are paired to an 8-speed automatic transmission.
