The Range Rover Evoque Long Wheelbase will sport a roomier cabin and increased boot space while a 7-seater variant is also expected.
The Range Rover Evoque is one of the most successful models of Land Rover. The compact SUV is capable of doing everything that the full-sized products from the automaker’s stable can do but with smaller dimensions, however, space has always been a concern for buyers.
Land Rover seems to be ready to address this problem as a Range Rover Evoque with a longer wheelbase was recently spied testing by our reader Stephen. The added wheelbase will result in a roomier cabin and increased cargo space while a 7-seater variant is also expected to be offered.
The Range Rover Evoque LWB has been spied a couple of times earlier too while the launch is expected to happen by the end of 2016. The LWB model is based on the new-gen Evoque that is built on the aluminium platform that will make the compact SUV lighter while the overall body style is expected to remain unchanged which can also be seen in the spy shots.
The Range Rover Evoque is powered by a 2.2-litre 4-cylinder SD4 diesel engine producing 187.6 HP and 420 Nm of torque at 1750 RPM while the power is sent to all four wheels via a 9-speed automatic gearbox. The LWB variant is also expected to be powered by the same engine while the overall mechanicals will only undergo minor updates to settle for the added wheelbase.
